Vendor solutions for this product (that does not have an existing PP/cPP) have a lot of variety and it is difficult to come to agreement on how things should work. How can everyone get on the same page?

There are many different ways to provide focus on how establish a common framework for the product category. The biggest problem is choosing the right one to start with, since in the end, all of them are going to be needed for a completed document. Generally the main approaches would fall into two categories: and product architectural focus or a use case focus.

One possible outcome to this exercise though, can be the determination that some products may not meet the expected cPP requirements and may require either different use cases or a different cPP. This is normal, and the iTC as a whole can accommodate multiple cPPs (or PP-Modules) to provide for different focus areas within the same overarching group.
